N° 1 

01 - Organization


The 1st edition of the Paris Flute Competition will take place from July the  18 th to the 19th 2019 in Paris.
The president of the 2019 competition is Jean-Michel VARACHE.

02 - Participation


This competition is open to flutists of all nationalities.
Candidates under the age of 18 (at the date of the competition) can participate in all the levels of the contest.
All candidates beyond this age limit can only apply at the Grand Concours.
Candidates can only apply for  one level of the competition.

03 - Inscription



To be admitted to the Contest, a complete registration file must be sent by email no later than May 30, 2019 to:
info@concoursflute-paris.com    
the requested documents will be the following:
1. Your name, level of participation, and your phone number
2. Your preselection video by video link (Youtube, Vimeo, Youku ...) or Wetransfer
3. An application fee of 50€ by bank transfer, (a transfer certificate is required)
(The fee is  not refundable)

04 - Registration fees


From June 1st 2019, the admitted candidate must send the files to the contest email no later than June 10th  2019:
1. The photocopy of the ID card or passport
2. One or two ID photos or art photos
3. CV (in French or in English)
4. The list of the  selected works
5. Registration fees:
-120 € - for the Grand Concours
-80 € - for the level Young Flutist
(A transfer certificate is required)

(Foreign applicants can claim a refund only in the event of a Visa refusal)

05 - Payment

06 - Starting order


The starting order of the competition will begin from the letter “F” of the last name.

07 - Rehearsal


The direction of the competition is in charge of the accompaniment of the piano of a single rehearsal for the candidates of the final:
-30 minutes for young flutist candidates;
-45 minutes for the candidates of  the Grand Concours.
The day of the rehearsal is on July 18th  2019 from 15:00 to 21:00.
The candidates can also bring their own accompanist.  The fees will be theirs.

08 - JURY



The members of the jury keep the right not to award all the prizes, no claim can be made.
The jury's decision is considered as  the final one.

09 - Concert 


The concert of the laureates of the 1st edition of the Flute Competition of Paris will be on July 19th 2019 at Saint-Germain-Des-Prés Church in Paris. This concert is open to the public.
All candidates admitted to the competition are invited to play at the concert (optional).
The winners of the competition must  play pieces chosen by the jury at the concert of the laureates (mandatory, possible to have a cancellation of awards, in case of absence)

10 - Recordings



All the recordings (videos, audios) made during the competition may be used without any remuneration to the contestants concerned.

11 - Rewards



Grand  Concours 

First Grand Price :
-3000 €
-A concert with the jury 

The Second Prize: 
-A flute worth  1500€

The Third Prize:
-A flute worth 1000€


Young Flutists

First Price :
-A flute worth 1500€
-A concert with the jury

The Second Prize: 
-A voucher of music scores worth 500 €

 The Third Prize:
-A voucher of music scores worth 300 €


The Special Prize:  (offered to one contestant of both levels)


-The RIH prize: a concert at the 2020 Festival of France : Rencontres Internationales de la Harpe  (With a transport subvention of 500€ maxi + 1 hotel night )

-The Prize of the best interpretation of Telemann: 300€

-The Gargilesse Prize: a concert at the 2020 Gargilesse Festival 

-The Prize of the Golden Sound: a voucher of music scores worth 300€
